Digital Economy Gallery

Digital Economy Gallery showcases the various projects and initiatives that SMA is currently spearheading. The Gallery is a one stop centre for Sarawakians, Visitors and even tourist to learn more about the Sarawak Digital Economy. Currently, the Gallery houses various Augmented and Virtual Reality exhibitions, information regarding SDVE, a Smart City Model, an automated production line and an indoor Smart Agriculture exhibition.

Digital Village

Sarawak Multimedia Authority through the Digital Village (DV) Unit has been entrusted to develop a Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) in each division and facilitate others (private sectors, universities and communities) as stated in the Digital Economy Strategy 2018 - 2022 of Action 37. Other than that, the DV unit is also responsible with the establishment of the Digital Village Samajaya to facilitate technology transfer and commercialisation and accelerate the maturity of the startups through global accelerator partnership. All of these efforts are to create new breads of entrepreneurs/startup and talents in Sarawak that has the capability to grow Globally and become the first unicorn company in Malaysia.

Openlab

Sarawak Digital Research & Innovation Openlab is established in partnerships with several technology companies such as IBM, Huawei, Honeywell, Keysight Technology, Fusionex and General Electric, to provide industry-standard tools and platform including robotics and automation for universities researchers as well as startups to do research and product developments. The facility is meant for all SMA partner universities and startups to produce high-quality research outputs, products and services that will improve the quality of life of the communities not just in Sarawak, but also globally. The centre is situated in Centre of Technical Excellence Sarawak in Santubong.
